About
I am currently Assistant Professor at California state Polytechnic University, Pomona. I mainly teach interdisciplinary courses investigating the ancient and medieval worlds, as well as research and writing courses and a course on the intersection of culture, science and technology in literature and film. My research interests include Greco-Roman and early Christian demonology, Christianization, and the ways in which Christians constructions "The Other." I am currently working with Arnobius, Firmicus Maternus, Augustine, and others within the Latin patristic tradition. I am also interested in modern religions based on horror fiction, especially H. P. Lovecraft.
